After holding a 3-1 lead in the third period, the Penguins had yet another collapse that ended in a shootout loss.

Penguins Experience Yet Another Third Period Collapse

In tonight's matchup between the Penguins and Blue Jackets, the Penguins looked to have the game in the bag early in the third period. However, as we have seen a million times so far this season:

They. Blew. It

A 3-1 lead quickly turned into a 3-3 tie and the Penguins just couldn't hold on for the shootout, 4-3 shootout loss.

On a more positive note, the Penguins top lines looked very solid once again tonight with Bryan Rust recording a goal and an assist. He looked to be flying out there and I thought he made the most impact for the Penguins. Sid also recorded another point!

Drew O'Connor scored again for the third time in as many games and is seemingly improving by the day.

Ned looked very solid in net, but once again the Penguins D didn't offer him much help. Letang looked pretty lost out there at times, check out this clip:

What a disappointing game though, my goodness. At least they got a point I guess?
