Nedeljkovic will try to earn his third consecutive win, a mark he could achieve for the first time this season.

Mike Sullivan announced that goaltender Alex Nedjelkovic will be the starter tonight

The Pittsburgh Penguins head coach confirmed that Alex Nedeljkovic will play tonight for the second of back-to-back games against the Blue Jackets.

Head coach Mike Sullivan commented on the team's decision and revealed that it's the goalie's recent performances that convinced him to send him on the ice again:

"We certainly have games penciled in for both of them. But we're gonna make decisions day to day, and performance always is going to be the dictator."

Nedeljkovic is coming off two convincing performances against the Carolina Hurricanes and the Blue Jackets, and it'll be interesting to see if he can keep that streak going. While he hasn't faced many shots against Columbus last time, he had an impressive tally of 39 saves against the Canes, his former team.

The Penguins' other option, Tristan Jarry, has a 2-6-1 record in his last 10 games, and was pulled out of three of them.

Sullivan's choice is easy, especially considering that the Penguins must win all games if they want to have a small chance of reaching the playoffs.

Stay tuned for more.
