Erik Karlsson carries his team to victory at World Championship

Team Sweden captain Erik Karlsson lifted his team to victory as Sweden defeated Poland 5-1 in the 2024 Men's World Championships.

While the Pittsburgh Penguins are in full swing for the 2024 NHL off-season, some of their players are still playing hockey over in Czechia for the 2024 Men's World Championship.

Erik Karlsson posted a monster performance as Sweden secured a layup victory against Poland. Karlsson posted two goals and one assist for three points in this game.

ChelPenguins posted on X (formerly Twitter) to show the highlights of Karlsson's game and to note that the Penguins defenseman is shooting way more similar to his final 10 games in 2023-24 for Pittsburgh.




The official IIHF X account posted that the second period was quiet until Erik Karlsson arrived.



However, it wasn't the video that was hilarious, it was the replies to the post that really make you giggle.









Fans are quite eager to point out the fact that Team Poland doesn't have any NHL players, which is true. Karlsson having a monster game is kind of diminished by the fact that Team Sweden, which is an international hockey powerhouse, dominated a team that usually doesn't win much, if at all.
