Kyle Dubas Addresses the Media Today after the Penguins Practice
In his press conference today, Pittsburgh Penguins GM Kyle Dubas finally spoke out on what he sees as the direction of the team going forward.Dubas has denied the TSN report from LeBrun that everybody is available minus the core guys.
It does not sound as if everyone is on the table. He did reference that the idea of a bottom out, tear down situation is not on the table for the Penguins. He said Sidney Crosby is still just too good to do something like that at this point.
A big topic that has been up for debate, is Guentzel. Dubas plainly put it, that we will determine the play of the team over the next few weeks to determine Guentzel's future with the team.

Dubas Confirms He Has Not Asked Anyone to Waive Their No Trade Clause
He referenced Crosby, Letang and Malkin as mentors to the next wave of players. That sounds as if he is planning on them staying for a while. To that point, he also referenced that he has not asked anyone to waive their no trade clause.
But when asked about the Penguins possibly becoming buyers, he mentioned that he cannot see them moving future draft capital, but ultimately nothing is off the table.

Dubas reiterates His Commitment in Mike Sullivan Dismissing an Coaching Change Rumors
The short answer from Kyle Dubas on Mike Sullivan, with Pittsburgh's President/GM reiterating his respect for the Head Coach: "I think he's the type of coach that can help you win, and also develop people and players. I don't think there needs to be any discussion about Mike." Pens Inside Scoop (@PensInsideScoop) February 21, 2024
One thing that Dubas did mention is the Penguins fan base.
Does not seem like to much was given away at this press conference today. If Dubas does have any plans with the team, it appears that it will not be any type of major shakeup or change coming anytime soon.
