Penguins Defenseman Makes NHL History

The Penguins may have lost to the Islanders in a pretty crazy back and forth game. But one milestone was reached during the contest.

Erik Karlsson Reaches his 800th NHL Point Against the Islanders in Pittsburgh

In Karlsson's 973th NHL game, Karlsson has reached 800 points in his career, which is also the 9th fastest for a defenseman in NHL history.

Karlsson reached this milestone early on in the game. At the 7:12 mark in the first period the Penguins were buzzing in the zone. Karlsson passed to Rakell who dished a great pass to Pettersson to put the Penguins up 1-0 in the game.
