Sidney Crosby is having yet another stellar season for the Pittsburgh Penguins, and in a crucial showdown against the Lightning, he made more history.

With a critical two points on the line against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Pittsburgh Penguins have come out firing on Saturday as they hold a 4-1 lead over Tampa Bay in the late stages of the game. They got to that lead with solid team play, but as usual, it's captain Sidney Crosby that is driving the play, as he made history in the process.

Oh captain, my captain 🙌
Crosby joins Alex Ovechkin, Brendan Shanahan, Teemu Selanne, Gordie Howe, Phil Esposito, and Johnny Bucyk as the only players 36 or older in @NHL history to notch a 40-goal season.

Despite being 36-years of age, Crosby continues a stellar run as he's doing everything he can to shock the NHL and drag this Penguins team into a playoff spot in 2023-24. He's done that with an incredible 16 points in his last eight games, and if they can secure the win here, they will find themselves tied with both the New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers with two playoff spots in the East left to secure.

Regardless of your feelings on Crosby, No. 87 will go down as one of the greatest players in NHL history, and it certainly appears that he isn't slowing down anytime soon.
