Penguins rivals New York Rangers lose Filip Chytil for game four

Published May 11, 2024 at 8:36 PM

Divisional rivals of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the New York Rangers, have lost Filip Chytil for game four of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs semifinals against the Carolina Hurricanes.

This isn't a concern for the Rangers who have the Hurricanes' backs against the wall with a 3-0 series lead. They will certainly wait for Chytil to be 100% healthy before they play him.

The only way that Filip Chytil will be dressed if he isn't 100% healthy during the series is if the Carolina Hurricanes rally back and force either a game six or game seven, which is highly likely.

Elliotte Friedman tweeted that Chytil will not play for the Rangers tonight versus the Hurricanes.

Facing a 3-0 series deficit, the Carolina Hurricanes must win the game against the New York Rangers.

In place of Chytil, Jonny Brodzinski will skate and play for the Rangers in a must-win game if they want to secure extended rest heading into the Eastern Conference Finals against either the Florida Panthers or Boston Bruins.

Rangers fans are hopeful ahead of the Eastern Conference battle that Filip Chytil will return to full health soon.

The New York Rangers hope to end the series in Raleigh, North Carolina and head back to New York for a lengthy and well deserved rest if they can complete the sweep against the Carolina Hurricanes.
