After being injured in the March and missing over 15 games, Penguins forward Jansen Harkins is nearing a return.

The Penguins didn't play today, and Mike Sullivan took the time address the media and share some injury updates.

He announced that Jansen Harkins was cleared for contact contact meaning that he will likely be returning to action. Harkins has missed 15 games so far after breaking his hand.

Coach Sullivan on team updates:
• Jansen Harkins had his first full-contact day today
• John Ludvig is still working through illness
• Ryan Graves is status quo (concussion)

He also mentioned that John Ludvig is still dealing with illness (likely the same bug that ravaged the team earlier in the week).

Additionally, there is no real update for Ryan Graves as he continues to recover from a concussion.

While Harkins may be an option for Sullivan as the season winds down, I'm not sure he is the best choice. Through 43 games this season he has zero goals and 4 assists. Not exactly an offensive threat
