Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Ryan Shea finally made his mark in the NHL with his first career goal, giving Pittsburgh an early lead against the Washington Capitals in a crucial divisional matchup. With the Caps holding onto the second wild card spot, every point counts for the Pens, who are aiming to close the gap in the standings.

It's been a journey for Shea this season, starting on the NHL roster before being waived in December. Since then, he's been bouncing between the NHL and AHL squads, proving his versatility on the ice. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing in at 200 pounds, the left-handed defenseman has been a solid contributor for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, tallying six points in 22 games.

Signed as a free agent in the offseason, Shea's one-year contract worth $775,000 has paid off tonight with his memorable goal. And for those who took a chance on him in tonight's game, Cashed out at $170 if you bet $10. Here's to more milestones for Ryan Shea as he continues to make his mark in the NHL!
