Although the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins were swept in their first round series of the AHL playoffs, there were some major takeaways from the short series.

Specifically regarding the Penguins prospects who came in as playoff reinforcements when their club's playoff races ended.

Forwards Ville Koivunen and Tristan Broz both impressed fans and media members alike with their performances in Wilkes Barre.

Koivunen is coming off a fantastic season in the Liiga in his native Finland, and was very impressive in the AHL.

Folks, I tell ya, I've only watched Ville Koivunen play in Wilkes for 5 periods. Let me tell you, I would not be surprised if he's on the opening night roster.

Obviously, a lot of work to get there, but man, he has impressed me a lot. His vision with the puck is absurd.
