It has never been so clear in the Steel City that changes are to come after the disastrous 2023-24 season by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Everyone is to blame for not exceeding expectations, whether it's the goaltending, forwards or management. Not many jobs are certain going into next year despite the terms of their contracts..

Penguins' Jarry's job may be at risk

It was looking like the year for Tristan Jarry who seemed to have had a breakout first half of the season leading the league in shutouts and solidifying himself as a top 10 goaltender. 2024 hasn't exactly been Jarry's best friend, but it hasn't been for anyone around the Penguins' brass.

The last four games have been evident that Jarry's job is not certain and the confidence has been at an all time low with Alex Nedeljkovic taking the last four starts at goal. Penguins goaltending rumours continue to spark

The Penguins also hope for the rise of prospect Joel Blomqvist who has been blossoming himself at the AHL level and the pros. Someone has to go to make room for the rising goaltender. Nedeljkovic seems like the most probable option, but it is possible Dubas and company try and shed Jarry's contract before it is to late. Tristan Jarry signs five year contract

Should no doubt be a very interesting off-season in Penguins land.
