Trade Talks Heat Up: Surprise Contender Enters the Race for Jake Guentzel

The Pittsburgh Penguins have done everything but confirm that they are trading pending UFA and star forward Jake Guentzel. With the team slipping from the playoffs, and providing positive health updates regarding his injury keeping him out of action untill March 10th, 2 days after the trade deadline, they keep proving every day that a trade is immient.

A surprise team has emerged for the Winger just days before the deadline.

Friedman drops bombshell regarding Guentzel

In the Jeff Marek show, Friedman stated that Vegas will swoop in very hard for Guentzel, after placing Jack Eichel on LTIR and Mark Stone being placed on IR.



Vegas are always a team to watch out for when it comes to landing a big player, and it won't change this time around with Guentzel available and cap space starting to clear up in Vegas' favour.

We need to stop counting the Knights out in situations like these, cap space or not, they find a way!
