Ryan Graves out for the remainder of the season with injury

The Pittsburgh Penguins' defenseman Ryan Graves is out for the remainder of the season with an injury.

The organization shared the news in a statement on X:

"Defenseman Ryan Graves has been placed on injured reserve."





His injury occured on March 28th, in a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Later, he was diagnosed with a concussion:


Graves has missed the last seven games and if the Penguins won't be able to activate him before the playoffs, as they need to respect the cap limit.

However, if he's healthy, Graves could be back in the lineup for the playoffs, assuming the team qualifies.

If the Penguins end up in the playoffs, Graves will play an important role in the team's success.

The race isn't over yet, as the Detroit Red Wings, Washington Capitals and New York Islanders continue to push for the last spots in the East.
