He's like a shining beacon, never losing his sparkle, no matter who's watching.

Sidney Crosby, the heartbeat of the Pittsburgh Penguins, keeps adding chapters to his remarkable story, even as he hits 36. In a heart-pounding 6-5 overtime thriller against the Detroit Red Wings at PPG Paints Arena, Crosby etched another unforgettable moment into his storied career. On the very day he was honored with the team MVP award for the fourth consecutive season and the 12th time overall, he
made history yet again.

With a perfectly timed assist on defenseman Erik Karlsson's game-winning goal in overtime, Crosby reached the incredible milestone of 1,000 career assists.

Not too long ago, the Penguins were on the outside looking in, trailing by nine points in the playoff race with 11 games to go. Yet thanks to Crosby's greatness, they've mounted a stunning comeback, now clinging onto the 2nd Wild Card spot with only three games left. Their awe-inspiring 7-0-3 record in their last ten games has kept their postseason dreams alive, just one point ahead of Detroit and Washington in the race for the second wild card with three games left.

With performances like these, Crosby's name is once again in conversations about the Hart Trophy.

He's a true legend, showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, and no matter what side you're on, it's something to appreciate each time this living icon takes the ice.
