In the second round of the WHL playoffs, Brayden Yager had a fantastic outing and scored a hat trick against Swift Current.

As many of you already know, Brayden Yager was selected 13th overall in the 2023 NHL Entry draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Yager is a dynamic goalscorer and offensive threat who is currently the top ranked prospect in the Penguins system.

Last night he had a dominant performance in a WHL playoff game where his team the Moose Jaw Warriors defeated fellow Penguins prospect Owen Pickering's Swift Current Broncos.

The #LetsGoPens  prospect powered the @MJWARRIORS to a big Game 2 win over Swift Current Saturday!

The performance of 3 goals and one assist was enough to net him the CHL first star of the night.

Brayden Yager also represented Team Canada at the U-20 WJC this year, and had a fantastic regular season where he finished second on his team in scoring.

Yager will likely be a part of the Penguins future, and I can't wait to watch him in the black and gold.

Best of luck to Brayden and the Warriors as they continue their playoff run!
