Penguins Star Talks to Media about Recently Traded Teammate

Rudy was the ultimate team guy. He was in the cast of different roles over a very long time here. He was the guy that if he wasn't in the lineup, he always stayed ready. Didn't matter if he was out of the lineup for one game or fifteen plus games or whatever it is- he got back in the lineup and played as well as if he kept playing the entire time. Even when you saw him as an everyday guy, he was playing well, doing his job, doing everything the right way. I think it just goes to show what kind of player he is, what kind of work ethic he puts in everyday. He was obviously one of the better friends here, been together for a long time, so it's definitely weird to see him today in red, white and blue. But definitely, he will be missed.
