Last night's loss versus the Calgary Flames has pretty much been the cherry on top making the Penguins playoff hopes as minimal as it gets.

As Kyle Dubas tries to navigate through a very important trade deadline for the future of this organization, he has been very flexible. Although, teams have been calling regarding a veteran forward, but Dubas refuses to budge.

Dubas not trading Rust despite calls

Bryan Rust recently signed an extension with the Pittsburgh Penguins last summer, and he carries a full NMC, according to Elliotte Friedman, Dubas has made it clear that despite the teams calling, they won't ask Rust to waive his no movement clause.

«Bryan Rust, who's injured right now, he has a no-move clause,» Friedman said. «I'm under the impression that the Penguins went to Rust recently and said, We aren't even going to ask you to move it.'»

Rust has been a highly respected member of the Pittsburgh Penguins on and off the ice, and although he may fetch the Penguins a solid return, he can be instrumental to this Penguins retool, or whatever you want to call it.

Busy week ahead in Pittsburgh, we can finally see if these rumours come to fruition, and finally the end of the drama, or not...
