Penguins defenseman Kris Letang isn't slowing down due to injury

Despite an announcement at the beginning of the Penguins offseason regarding an injury to Kris Letang, the defenseman doesn't seem to be slowing down.

During the team's post season scrum, it was revealed that Kris Letang has been playing through a number of injuries down the stretch. These ailments were deemed «significant» by GM Kyle Dubas and head coach Mike Sullivan called him a warrior for playing through them.

When asked about Kris Letang's injury situation down the stretch, Mike Sullivan said, "what I will tell you is he was dealing with a myriad of injuries. He's a warrior, there's no other way to put it, with some of the things he was dealing with and played through."

There was little information related to the specifics of the injuries, but many speculated they could require off-season surgery. However a tweet from Penguins reporter Matt Vensel showed a positive update for the French Canadian.

Not sure if this signals anything about Letang and the specter of surgery, but his longtime trainer in Montreal posted this on IG ⬇️

Regardless of what the injuries that Sullivan referred to may entail, it appears that Kris Letang has already shifted his focus to coming back even stronger for his next season in the Steel City.
