After being up with the Penguins since March 29th, the Penguins have re-assigned rookie defenseman Ryan Shea to the WBS Penguins of the AHL.

Today it was announced that the Penguins would be re-assigning rookie defenseman Ryan Shea back to Wilkes-Barre. He was called up on an emergency basis due to Ryan Graves going down with a concussion. Graves is back in action tonight, so Shea was sent down as a subsequent move.

Ryan Shea has been called up and sent down a number of times this season in a multitude of 'paper transactions' but he hasn't seen NHL action since the 8th of December.

However, John Ludvig left the ice during warmup and Ryan Shea filled in an emergency capacity. He is playing on the 3rd pairing with Jack St. Ivany.

Prior to tonight's game, Shea has played in 22 contests and has failed to register a point.
