The Pittsburgh Penguins held morning skate and all indications are that goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic will be starting tonight against the Hurricanes

It was tweeted on X this morning by multiple sources at the morning skate that Alex Nedjlkovic left the ice first during skate. This is a clear indicator that he will be the starting goaltender tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Nedeljkovic was the starting goaltender in that devestating lose to the Colorado Avalanche Sunday afternoon where the Penguins blew a 4-0 to only skate away with one point.

It was reported that Nedeljkovic was injured during the game as he was pulled and seen heading down the runway.

Ned gave up four consecutive goals on 25 total shots against the Avalanche as they made their comeback run. March has not been great for Nedlejkovic as he has gone 1-2-1 with a 4.18 GAA and an .843 save percentage over seven appearances.

Nedeljkovic was originally drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes where he split time between playing in Carolina and then in Detroit. In addition to Ned facing his old team, Bunting and Guentzel will both be facing off against their former clubs.

The Penguins host the Hurricanes tonight at PPG Paints Arena.
