Dubas Did Not Say He Wouldn't Trade Guentzel in Press Conference Wednesday

As Friedman points out in his conversation with Jeff Marek, it is not that Dubas said he will not trade Guentzel, it is that he is going to plan to do what is needed to do for the team.

So the believe is that Dubas will take another run at trying to sign Guentzel. As much as Crosby says he does not interfer with those decisions, he does have some pull in who he wants to play with on his line.

Erik Karlsson Could Be Reunited With Former Team Ottawa Senators

Friedman admits this is speculation and his thoughts, but could this be a reality? The connection that Karlsson had with Daniel Alfredsson is something to consider. There would have to be a lot of moving parts and agreements, but it may not be out of the realm of possibility.

Karlsson has not made much of an impact in Pittsburgh or with the fans. His numbers are not bad, but he is just not making the difference as expected.
