It was before the game against the Capitals Thursday night that news started to break about Jake Guentzel being traded. No official details were given but it was something on the player's minds.

It was after the difficult loss to the Capitals 6-0 that the captain was asked about Jake and the trade.

«He's a great player, great teammate, a friend. He did everything he possibly could in his time here. Just a privilege to play with him.»

Guentzel Proved to be Solid in the Post Season for the Penguins

Guentzel joined the Penguins during the 2016-2017 season and run at the Stanley Cup. It was that year that Jake proved himself with his 13 post-season goals, which led the playoffs. It was this play that helped the Penguins to their fifth Stanley Cup.

Jake Guentzel Could be Considered Crosby's Best Winger

Guentzel could be considered one of the best wingers that Crosby has played with. During his time with the Pens, he played 503 career games, scoring 219 goals and 247 assists for 466 total points.

As probably one of the most consistent linemate of Crosby's career, Jake will be missed by more then just the fans.
