Captain Sidney Crosby Claims Multiple Records in the Victory Over the Hawks Last Night in Chicago

Crosby was able to come on strong last night and scored his 9th career goal within the opening 30 seconds of a game (at the 15 second mark last night) to pass Bob Gainey for the most goals in that timeframe in NHL History.

In fact, this goal also was his 406th career even strength goal, passing the great Mario Lemieux for most in Penguins team history.

Crosby Breaks Two Team Records Both Held by Penguin Legend Mario Lemieux

But that is not all the Captain was able to produce last night. He scored again, bringing his season total to 30 goals. With this, he has now has 12 seasons with 30 goals or more in his career.

He is tied with Luc Robitaille, Jarome Iginla and Brendan Shanahan for 11th most in NHL history. All once again, passing Lemieux for sole possession of 30 plus goal seasons in Penguins history.
