Alex Nedeljkovic to start against the Red Wings

One of the Penguins hottest players right now is Alex Nedeljkovic and he left the ice first in the optional pre-game skate, indicating he should start tonight


Nedeljkovic is looking to get his 10th straight start against the Detroit Red Wings tonight at PPG Paints Arena.




In addition to Ned getting the start tonight the Penguins held an optional skate with Alex Nedeljkovic, Tristan Jarry, Ryan Shea, Radim Zohorna, Emil Bemstrom, John Ludvig, Jesse Puljujarvi, Valtteri Puustinen, Jack St. Ivany in attandence.

Noel Acciari and Ryan Graves prior to the optional morning skate with Penguins skills coach, director of player development Tom Kostopoulos and in goal, Mike Chiasson the goalie development professional.

Additionally, reports are that Lars Eller is available tonight, but might be dealing with an illness.


The Penguins look to continue with this miracle run over the last nine games with a win against Detroit. The puck will be set to drop at 7pm EST in Pittsburgh.
