San Jose Sharks Forward Could Fit in Perfectly with the Penguins

San Jose Shark forward Anthony Duclair has been made a healthy scratch on the San Jose Sharks roster, listed today. A Penguins fan page has stated that the Montreal Native would be a perfect fit for the Penguins Top 6.

Anthony Duclair: By the numbers

The former Panthers player has 8 goals and 8 assists combining for 16 points in 40 games this season on the last place sharks. He's on an expiring deal and can be used as a trade chip for the Sharks as they are looking to unload contracts with potential to contender teams now until the trade deadline.

Grier isn't afraid of blowing up the squad who isn't seen as the ‘future'. Despite these rumours, Duclair has stated that he has interest in resigning with the Sharks and «loves it here».

Duclair to the Pens makes a lot of sense

With Reilly Smith out for a while the Penguins will need to start looking for top 6 help. Duclair can be a cheap option with the Sharks probably looking for a 2nd or 3rd round pick in this years draft depending on salary retention or not. Duclair would mesh well with Malkin and Rakell, adding scoring to the top 6 and even being a good addition to the Penguins second powerplay unit.

More news to come.
