Major news emerged concerning Amazon and the NHL.

Amazon Prime Will Broadcast NHL Games

Amazon has made a strategic financial move in the sports broadcasting arena by acquiring a minority stake in Diamond Sports Group, the parent company of Bally Sports.

This development follows Bally Sports and Entertainment's bankruptcy, which had left the broadcasting rights of 12 NHL teams in uncertainty.

With this acquisition, Amazon is set to bring NHL games to Prime , addressing the concerns of worried fans about the future of local sports broadcasts.

The Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, and Tampa Bay Lightning are all impacted by that move.

Big news this morning that Amazon is acquiring a minority stake in Diamond Sports Group.

The regional sports network filed for bankruptcy last year, putting local media rights for 37 teams across the NBA, MLB, and NHL in jeopardy.

Now, customers can watch games on Amazon Prime.
