Penguins Star Must be in the MVP Conversation

Often when it comes to the hart trophy (MVP), most fans and voters go to the guy who leads the league in points. There's a trophy for that, and that's the Art Ross Trophy. The Hart trophy is the most valuable player to a team, and the two guys that come to mind are the two Nova Scotian Natives, Nathan Mackinnon and Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby.

Put Some Respect On Sidney Crosby's Name.

Sidney, is having himself an amazing season. Leading the NHL in face off wins, having 41 points in 39 games, all at the age of 36 years old. Without Sidney Crosby, things would be ugly in Pittsburgh.

As players age in the NHL they tend to slow down, but with the Penguins Captain, his game keeps on improving, he's aging like fine wine!

When Crosby's playing well, everyone is on their ‘A' game

When Sidney Crosby is hot everyone around him starts to heat up aswell. Jake Guentzel is a prime example, with 43 points this season leading the Penguins, he's playing his best hockey alongside Sidney Crosby on his line. You can say the same for Evgeni Malkin, who has 35 points so far and is playing some of his best hockey in recent years. We call this the Sidney Crosby effect.
