Penguins Should Target These Forwards to help Playoff Push

The Penguins have received solid service from Reilly Smith since acquiring him from the Vegas Golden Knights this summer for a low price, 3rd round pick. It was announced a few days ago that the Stanley Cup winner would be out of action for a while after suffering an injury in the Penguins most crucial time this season. The Penguins will have to start looking at the trade market to acquire a top 6 forward. Steel City has been linked to 3 forwards.

Jason Dickinson to the Pens?

The Chicago Blackhawks centre Jason Dickinson is having himself a super underrated season so far. After the Canucks traded him as a "cap dump", the 28 year old has had a great start to the season with the struggling Hawks. The Ontario Native is on pace to set himself with a career goal scoring year as the forward has 14 goals already so far.

Sharks forward linked to the Pens

The russian forward Alexander Barabanov has had a rough start to the season with the last place Sharks putting up 7 points in 23 games. Is it him or is it the lack of offensive power in San Jose causing this slow production? Last year, Alex put 48 points with the Sharks in just 68 games. I can picture Barabanov thriving in a contending team and on a line with Malkin and Rakell.

Michael Bunting potential reunion with Dubas?

Probably the most exciting name on this list, Michael Bunting, the Canes forward has 27 points in 40 games. He has a cap hit of 4.5 million for two years. Bunting tends to produce at a legitimate pace when put with star power. If his center is Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin, I'd expect him to explode in offensive production.
