Corey Perry was released by the Chicago Blackhawks in November for violating code of conduct in the workplace. This whole situation caused NHL fans to speculate what actually happened and some very ugly speciations made regarding Connor Bedard and Corey Perry. Fortunately, that theory was dismissed and we now know the severity of the situation.

Corey Perry eligible to Play with an NHL team again

Corey Perry is back in the NHL after having a meeting at the players request with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman. Contending teams will do their due diligence to find out what exactly went down between Perry and the Chicago Blackhawks organization. Teams like Toronto, Pittsburgh, Carolina, Colorado will be all over this looking to add a top 9F and solidify their depth.

Gravity of Situation finally Clarified

As reported by Elliotte Friedman on 32 Thoughts Podcast, the situation that occurred was one that he doesn't think other NHL teams would go to the extent of releasing the player. He thinks the Blackhawks did it to set a precedent and improve their ‘image' especially after the Kyle Beach incident.
