Utah announces fan survey bracket for team name

Utah is gearing up to welcome its very own NHL team, and hockey fans in Salt Lake City couldn't be more excited. After making the move from Arizona, there were some rumblings about the team not having a name yet, but things have changed since then.

As of April 24th, the organization trademarked nine potential team names, including some pretty cool ones like Yetis and Blizzard. And just recently, they announced the 20 finalists for their team name.





Unfortunately, m they won't officially have a logo until the 2025-26 season, but we will know the name by the Summer.



Meanwhile on the ice, General Manager Bill Armstrong has some tough decisions to make this summer, especially with free agency right around the corner. Rumor has it that team owner Ryan Smith and his group SEG, is hopeful on making a splash in the free-agent market come July 1st, to put fans in seats at the Delta Center, and there are plenty of standout players from the 2023-24 season that Utah could set its sights on.

With the sixth overall pick in the draft, Utah has a prime opportunity to snag a future star. It's going to be a thrilling time for hockey fans in Utah as they eagerly await the unveiling of their team name and the start of their inaugural season.
