USA hockey has announced the addition of neck guard protection for all youth player across the country.

Adam Johnson death causes huge turnaround

With the recent tragic death of Adam Johnson, it has influence many NHL players to start wearing neck protection. Examples such as TJ Oshie, Anze Kopitar, Jayden Struble, Tage Thompson, etc. The death caused many fans to try and urge leagues to mandate neck protection. Rightfully so, with a tragedy like this, it should be a no brainer. Hopefully more leagues begin to mandate neck protection and not only youth leagues. It's time to protect our players.
