Penguins' Power Play Crisis Highlighted by Shocking Statistic

It's no secret that the Penguins have many problems to highlight their inconsistent season filled with many questions. Fans are frustrated and with reason, their biggest concern: Their infuriating powerplay.

Panthers Star forward has the same amount of goals as Penguins on PP

Pending UFA Sam Reinhart has the same amount of power play goals as the entire Penguins team this season. Reinhart has 20 power play goals out of his full 35, and the Penguins have 20 powerplay goals this season. They are amongst the worst powerplay's in the NHL representing the bottom five.




This stat shows that the forward has more powerplay goals then the Penguins, Jackets, Flames, Hawks and company. Most of the teams in this tweet are rebuilding teams, therefore this should be concerning for Kyle Dubas and company.

Penguins should not be in this situation

With star players such as Guentzel, Crosby, Malkin, Karlsson and Letang all representing your top unit, they shouldn't be the team struggling the most. After acquiring Karlsson in the blockbuster, fans thought that the Penguins would have one of the best power plays in the NHL.
