Rumour - We may know which teams will play the 2024 winter classic
The 2023 Winter Classic which will oppose the Bruins to the Pens has not even taken place yet and there are already rumours about what teams are going to play for the 2024 edition of the event. Twitter page NHLrumorsdaily shared a thread with 3 gifs as hints to who would be involved for next year's Winter Classic.
Hockey fans are already criticizing this choice saying these teams are too new to deserve a place at the event. Many agree to say there are other teams that deserve it more and that would be a real "classic" matchup. But, this decision makes sense when we look at the numbers: the Vegas Golden Knights and the Seattle Kraken are two very good teams when it comes to hockey, and two very good cities when it comes to bringing more revenue in the league!
