Penguins Players remain on the Bench after the Overtime Goal by Filip Forsberg, Stunned with the Results

Just a few seconds into the overtime period of a 2-2 Game in Nashville, Forsberg scores the winning goal. Players on the bench remain, not at all pleased with the outcome.

As Forsberg entered the zone, Ryan O'Reilly crashed into Crosby as he tried to stay on side. Sullivan was a bit shocked that no interference was called.

"It's a game-changing moment, right?" the Penguins head coach said before continuing, «I didn't like the opening drop of the overtime. It just it is what it is."

The Penguins played a solid game after coming off a victory against Toronto and were hoping to build some momentum.

«It's unfortunate. I thought our team played hard tonight,» Sullivan said. «I thought we had a lot of good looks. It's unfortunate the way it ended.»

Pittsburgh was down early in the game 2-0, but that was in no way indicative of how they were playing. The first half of the game flew by with very little stoppage. When the Penguins did play short-handed they stopped the Predators and shortly after a penalty kill in the third, Bryan Rust scored his 10th goal of the season 2:26 into the period, tying the game at two.

This was the type of game played by the Penguins that they feel they should walk away with the extra point. As a fan, I would have to agree.

Video of the goal can be found below:
