Breaking: Toronto Maple Leafs fined for over $100,000
The Maple Leafs have committed a travel violation by flying to St. Louis on Monday. This flight violates the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL and the NHL Players' Association, since team traveling is restricted during the holiday break.
Coach Sheldon Keefe was also fined $25,000 for an in-game violation that happened on Tuesday night, when he allegedly had a demeaning behavior towards the referees. All the money from the fines is going to be sent to the NHL foundation.Source: ESPN
