Rumours Regarding Sheldon Keefe's Job Security Swirl Amidst Leafs Skid

While the Toronto Maple Leafs have had a rather hot and cold season thus far, there has been an emphasis on the cold in recent days.

As always in Toronto, the rumours have been flying about whether or not Sheldon Keefe will remain the head coach in Toronto.

The Leafs are currently 21-12-8 which is good enough for 3rd in the Atlantic division. The issue is the lack of playoff success, with only one series win over his tenure as coach. During this time he's had a core of Nylander, Matthews and Marner in their absolute primes.

If this rumour is true, then that would mean that Sheldon Keefe would be looking for a new job shortly, could he potentially reunite with his old pal Kyle Dubas?

If the Penguins Needed a New Head Coach, could Keefe be the one?

This is purely speculation, but if the Penguins were to relieve Mike Sullivan of his duties during a time where Keefe was available, Kyle Dubas may look to the familiar face for a replacement.

It's very unlikely that Mike Sullivan is dismissed due to his contract and his relationship with the ownership group.

However, we've seen in the past that Kyle Dubas has liked to bring players and staff from his Toronto days to the Penguins organization, Keefe may be no different.

In my opinion, I don't feel like Keefe would be a good fit in Pittsburgh but if he does find himself without a job, I guess you never know!

More to come.
