We Now Know Guentzel's Updated Trade Value After Recent Injury

The Pittsburgh Penguins received terrible news this week as it was announced that forward Jake Guentzel would miss a month with an upper-body injury. He was placed on long-term injured reserve, the Penguins won't have Guentzel back in the lineup until March 10 at the earliest. Well that's if he remains a Pittsburgh Penguin after the March 8th deadline. Prior to his injury he was known as a possible trade candidate and if made available would be number one on every trade board. His trade value is now in question with the sudden injury.

Insider affirms Guentzel's value won't change

It's obvious teams will be hesitant when it comes to trading for a guy who has been out of action for the last month, but with the pedigree of a guy like Jake Guentzel, you know what you will get out of the star winger.

Frank Seravalli, insider from the Daily Faceoff affirmed that Guentzel's trade value won't really change ahead of the deadline.



Seravalli wasn't the only insider who attested to the point, Elliotte Friedman had something to say as well.


Craig Button from TSN made a strong point aswell.


It goes to say how important and fundamental it would be to add someone like Jake Guentzel to a contending team, Penguins will get what they want for the forward.
