Sidney Crosby confronted by Igor Shesterkin in clash behind the net

Sidney Crosby is confronted by Igor Shesterkin behind the Rangers net as Crosby attempts to steal the puck from the netminder.

In classic Sidney Crosby fashion, he is going to play hard. So when Crosby chased the puck behind the net, he attempted to disrupt Shesterkin who was playing the puck. That led to a confrontation between an upset and passionate Shesterkin who should crosby what he thought about that play.





In the end the Penguins were able to come out on top. Sidney Crosby had two goals and an assist which also got the captain to a career milestone.

With Crosby's three points he solidified himself further in the NHL record books tying Wayne Gretzky with 19 seasons at a point per game pace.



In the game where Alex Nedeljkovic made 28 saves and was not expected to play, the Penguins were able to defeat the Rangers in MSG for the first time since prior to the 2022 season.

The Penguins are back in action again Tuesday night as they play wild card and divisional rivals the New Jersey Devils.
