As the Penguins season starts to rundown, Sidney Crosby is not done yet with his multiple milestones he accomplished this season.
The Penguin fans have been spoiled to have Crosby now for nearly 20 years in the black and gold. He has continued to reach NHL and personal milestones throughout his 19th season. And he still has more to come.Last night against the Rangers, Crosby clinched a big milestone by tying Wayne Gretzky with a point per game average for 19 seasons. It is a feat that only Crosby and Gretzky have met in the history of the NHL.
With just eight games to go, Crosby has yet another milestone still available to be reached this season. Sid is currently sitting at 997 assists, just 3 assists away from hitting the 1,000-assist marker. It is a milestone that only 13 NHL players have reached before.
Crosby is already an elite player in the NHL, but this year has proven that with all of his accomplishments and milestones.

Surprising, one category that Crosby does not hold a record for is goals scored. But with just 3 more needed to reach 40 this season, it would only be his third time meeting that marker. With just needing 13 more goals, he would reach a personal milestone of 600 career goals scored.
So, with two milestones still available to hit this season, it is save to say that the Penguins captain has not lost a step since hitting the ice in 2005.
