Over the last few days, trade chatter has picked up regarding a Penguins forward due to their recent play keeping them far away from a playoff spot, and the assumed sellers position.

The Penguins forward involved finally spoke out about the trade rumours linking him to contending teams such as the Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers.

Reilly Smith was a victim of the trade rumour whirl over the last week, after his questionable stinct so far in Pittsburgh and being linked to the team that traded him this summer, the reigning Stanley Cup champions, the Vegas Golden Knights.
