Tonight is a huge night in the city of Pittsburgh as a Penguins franchise legend will be honored before the team's game. The ceremony will be a sight to behold as the Penguins retire the number of Jaromir Jagr.

Today is finally the day that NHL legend Jaromir Jagr gets to be recognized for his incredible hockey career. The Pittsburgh Penguins will be retiring his number 68 jersey and immortalizing him in Penguins hockey history.





While the celebration today is the official ceremony to retire Jagr's number he has been in town all week. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at around 4:15 pm so make sure you are in your seats or at your televisions nice and early.



The Penguins will look to make Jagr proud by pulling out a victory over the Los Angeles Kings.

With Jaromir Jagr in town, the stakes just feel a bit higher for this game. One player for the Penguins even confirmed as much when he met with Jagr earlier this week. Kris Letang spoke to Jagr about how much Jagr meant to him growing up. Letang even went as far as to ask Jagr to sign his jersey after tonight's game.
