Letang Shares Heartwarming Story with Jagr During Today's Practice

Today Jaromir Jagr joined the Pittsburgh Penguins for their practice today ahead of his ceremony tomorrow. During practice, he and Penguins defenseman Kris Letang shared a heartwarming moment.

Jagr Joins Penguins At Practice

This morning Jaromir Jagr was at practice with the Pittsburgh Penguins. While he could have just done an initial couple of laps Jagr competed in drills as well. At one point Jagr showed off the skills he still has sniping on Alex Nedeljkovic.




Jagr's return to Pittsburgh has meant a lot to the people of Pittsburgh. A new snippet of a conversation between Jaromir Jagr and Kris Letang shows that it means a lot to the players as well having a legend of Jagr's caliber around.

Letang Shares A Heartwarming Story With Jagr

While the Penguins were getting their practice going defenseman Kris Letang skated up to Jagr to have a conversation. Letang shared a story about how Jagr was one of his favorite players growing up. Letang also admitted that he wore 68 growing up in honor of Jagr but switched to 58 when coming to Pittsburgh as he did not want to take his hero's number.



It is an incredibly cool moment hearing that Letang who is a legend in his own right at this point looked up to Jagr as many players of his generation did. Letang asks Jagr to sign his game-worn jersey for tomorrow which Jagr of course obliged with.

The ceremony this weekend will mean a lot to the city of Pittsburgh and Penguins fans but also people like Letang who grew up idolizing Jaromir Jagr.
