The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced another roster move today regarding a player coming up from the AHL. This time defenseman Ryan Shea has gotten the call-up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Today Kyle Dubas and the Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that Ryan Shea has earned a call-up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Ryan Shea comes back up after a stint in the NHL earlier this season.

Defenseman Ryan Shea is now on the Penguins' NHL roster per the league's media Web site.

The call-up for Ryan Shea comes after the Pittsburgh Penguins announced that Ryan Graves will be out indefinitely with a concussion. In his previous stint in the NHL Ryan Shea played 22 games but failed to record a point. The Penguins will likely look to Ryan Shea to play bottom pair minutes throughout the rest of the season.

With the Pittsburgh Penguins evaluating many players for next season already it will be fun to see if Ryan Shea can play well enough to earn a spot on next year's team. He will have his first opportunity to play tomorrow against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
