Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson approaching massive career milestone
With an appearance in tonight's game Erik Karlsson will join a very elite club of players who have skated in 1000 NHL games.
Tonight the Penguins host the Boston Bruins, which will be another important game in the Penguins quest for a playoff appearance. Additionally, it will be a major milestone for Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson who is set to skate in his 1000th NHL game.1000 NHL games is a rare feat for NHL players to reach and the Swede will join some very elite company after tonight's game.
Karlsson is a 3-time Norris Trophy winner and will likely go down as one of the best offensive defenseman in history.
When asked about this accomplishment, Karlsson had this to say:
«It's obviously a great feeling to be able to have lasted that long,» Karlsson said. «Very fortunate to play with a lot of guys that have reached that milestone. I know what grind it is.»
Congrats to Karlsson on this huge accomplishment, and let's hope for a huge Penguins win tonight!
