The Pittsburgh Penguins are in Canada tonight as they are set to face off against Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs in what is a do or die matchup as the team sets their sights on a ticket to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Head coach Mike Sullivan has decided to go with their backup goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic in what seems to be an extreme vote of confidence in the most biggest game of the Pittsburgh Penguins' season.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are currently one point behind the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference by an extremely slim margin. The team has been surging as of late with a four game winning streak and are 6-2-2 in their last ten games. They are currently one point off the second wildcard spot with 83 points, trailing behind the Detroit Red Wings who have 84.


Head coach Mike Sullivan has decided to go with Alex Nedeljkovic, who has been trending as of late and keeping the Penguins season alive with his amazing play.

Mike Sullivan confirms Alex Nedeljkovic will start in goal against Toronto. Ned enters the game with a 6-0-2 record in his eight consecutive starts.
