Amazon and the NHL announced a new partnership involving streaming rights for Prime Monday Night Hockey.

Prime Video to Become the Home of National Monday Night NHL Games in Canada Beginning in 2024-25 Season, with Prime Monday Night Hockey

Rogers, Amazon and the NHL bring live games to more fans across more devices

This is pretty big news in the Canadian TV market, as Amazon looks set to take over Monday Night Hockey from Sportsnet. With the All or Nothing series, Amazon has experience with the #NHL, so I'm excited to see what they can do with Monday Night Hockey!

This new partnership will allow Canadian fans to watch Prime Monday Night Hockey each week at no additional charge. This will include all of the NHL games that are happening on Monday nights and will
be exclusive to Amazon.

For Penguins fans living north of the border, this means that more NHL games will be nationally televised and will allow fans to watch games that would normally be considered out of market.

This is a big step for Canadian viewers given the recent success of NHL streaming on ESPN+, which is not available to Canadian viewers.

Details to follow.
