Despite Kyle Dubas mentioning at the start of his tenure that a long term plan is still unsure, after his first season at the realm of the Pittsburgh Penguins, it appears that the upper management plans to continue their trust in the GM and he will remain in Pittsburgh going into next season.

In the end of year media presser, Kyle Dubas was asked if they will do a GM search, the GM quickly slammed down the question and stated he will remain General Manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

«I'll roll along,» Dubas said. «I don't think right now, with where we're at, bringing in frankly somebody that's going to be deferring to me anyway, is at all what we need in our building.»

«Unless somebody moves on for a promotion elsewhere,» Dubas said. «I'll evaluate it, but my instinct right now is that group has so much potential to grow.

The Penguins office will remain the same, well for the time being, however one day it is possible we can see a mature Jason Spezza take over at the GM position in the Steel City.
