While many Penguins fans mourn the loss of Jake Guentzel, some positive news arose from the day.

Bryan Rust who was injured earlier in the season in a game against the Flyers, skated for the first time in a full contact jersey since he got hurt.

Here is what Mike Sullivan had to say about his progress.



Prior to Rust's Injury he was playing some of his best hockey of the season before he was unfortunately sidelined following the game on February 25th.



With Jake Guentzel being moved to Carolina, the Penguins will need all the help on offence that they can get, so expect Rust to step into an even more important role down the stretch.
