The trade deadline signaled the end of an era for beloved Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jake Guentzel. Now he is off to an electric start in his new home.

Guentzel Buries His First Goal With Hurricanes After Trade



Tonight Jake Guentzel played in his 4th game as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes. After coming back from injury many expected Guentzel to start slow. However, the opposite has happened he had three assists in his first three games. Then tonight he finally buried his first goal with his new squad.

Guentzel on the goal flew out of a cannon down the wing skating past a Senators defenseman and putting the puck in the back of the net. For Penguins fans this is about as frustrating a start as possible to see Guentzel playing so well.

Penguins fans will have a chance to see Jake Guentzel with his new team up close and personal when the Hurricanes come to town on March 26th.
