Time for a Coaching Change in Pittsburgh?

Due to the Penguins recent lacklustre performances, many people are wondering if it is time to make a coaching change. The first member of the staff that has been under fire is Assistant Coach Todd Rierden who is responsible for the powerplay, that we are all too familiar with.

The Penguins powerplay has consistently been one of the worst in the league and it has been killing them all season long. It is almost unconcievable that Rierden still has a job at this point. However, he is noted as being a very good defensive coach and helps greatly in developing young blue-liners. This is likely his saving grace at the moment.

Rierden is also in charge of the 3on3 strategy, which has also been very disappointing. Take a look at what fans on twitter have been saying lately below:

Mike Sullivan Not Exempt From Criticism

While Rierden has caught most of the flack throughout the season, Mike Sullivan has been criciticized immensely and people online are calling for him to be fired as well. This however is much less likely as Sully in on contract for a few more years and has a very good relationship with the ownership group.

Do you think Sully and Reirden should still have jobs?
